music producer

Baptized as Marcos Vaz, known professionally as Muntu, he is a distinguished music producer, arranger, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ. Currently, Marcos leads Muntu Audio, a creative audio production company bearing his artistic name, reflecting his musical identity and professional vision.

Marcos graduated in Composition and Conducting (UFBa); Film, Television, and Video Game Scoring (Berklee College of Music); and Popular Piano (ULM).

Throughout his career, Marcos has composed, arranged, produced, and collaborated with renowned Brazilian artists, including:

  • Daniela Mercury (Music production on Feijão de Corda)

  • Zeca Baleiro (Production and collaborations on Era Domingo)

  • Jorge Ben (Music production for Umbabarauma WV Advertising)

  • Liniker (Music production on Forever Young)

  • New Bahians (Recording for TV Cultura's Rehearsal)

  • Zombie Nation (Mormaço Remix)

  • Psirico (Music production for Skol Advertising)

  • Márcia Castro (Production and collaborations on Trêta)

  • Electric Trio Dodô and Osmar (Keyboardist)

  • Chico César (Musical collaborations), among others.

He has also significantly contributed as a music producer and arranger for film, television, and advertising through established music production and licensing companies such as Voices, Studio Tesis, Loud, and Jamute.

Marcos's creative excellence has been internationally recognized, having received prestigious awards like the Bronze Palm at Cannes and Gold in Audio & Sound Production at the El Ojo Festival, among others.

Today, at the helm of Muntu Audio, Marcos continues to transform ideas into impactful and memorable audio experiences, consistently merging artistic sensitivity with technical mastery.

A specialist in cultural history, communication, semiotics, and innovation, Jurema Paes works in client relations at MUNTU as a point of connection between people, ideas, and creative processes. Her attentive listening and mediating presence make the client relationship a deep and fluid experience.

A historian, artist, and researcher, Jurema brings a solid background in cultural production and human relations, embracing projects with careful attention to detail: to words, gestures, and context.

At MUNTU, her role goes beyond mediation. She translates needs into creative direction, ensures harmony between clients and the technical team, oversees each stage of the projects, and cultivates relationships grounded in trust, clarity, and care.

Her practice embodies the spirit of Muntu: the human as an integral, relational, and transdisciplinary being — committed to listening as a creative force and a vital connection between individuals, communities, and narratives.
